discipline and effectiveness. 
- Approximately 135 military and civilians comprised of all Air
Force specialties
- Conducts management reviews of Air Force functional, operational
and acquisition programs
- Single comprehensive inspection agency of Air Force medical organizations
- Inspects the Air Force's 36 field operating agencies and direct
reporting units for Federal, State and Air Force compliance
- Publishes TIG Brief magazine, a worldwide publication that provides
crossflow of inspection information
- At the direction of the Air Force Inspector General, conducts
special non-criminal investigations which result from complaints
- Conducts AFIA University indoctrinating new AFIA inspectors
- Operates the USAF Inspector School
