Fighter Wing New Mexico Air National Guard
Provides theater commanders worldwide with combat-ready F-16 aircraft
and personnel. Also provides test support aircraft and pilots to White
Sands Missile Range for selected test and evaluation missions. 
- Employs 1,000+ Air National Guard personnel
- The only ANG unit equipped with the Block 40 LANTIRN (Low Altitude
Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night) system specializing
in night attack operations with precision guided munitions
- Has deployed to enforce Bosnian and Southern Iraq no-fly zones
- Part of the New Mexico National Guard with deep roots in the community
- F-16 "Fighting Falcon" aircraft are compact, versatile, highly
maneuverable. A multi-role fighter which became operational in 1980.
Maximum speed is Mach 2+ with a combat radius of approximately 850
miles. This single-seat fighter is the workhorse of the USAF.
